Meal Prep FAQs

  • Where do you deliver? Is there pick-up?

We are not currently offering pick-up. We deliver in Ainaloa, Kea’au, Hilo, Hamakua, Honoka’a, Waimea, Kawaihae, South Kohala, Waikoloa Village, Kona, Holualoa, Kealakekua and Keauhou. There is a delivery fee of $10-20 dependent upon location (first one’s free!).

If you’re interested in delivery outside of these locations, or you live on a very remote property i.e. down a long dirt road etc., please inquire with us via text, phone call or e-mail before ordering.

  • How do I order?

You order by purchasing meals directly through our online store! Meals are available to order from Wednesday through Saturday at 12pm. If you’re having trouble with the online store, you can text, call or e-mail us with your order instead.

  • When are menus released?

Our store automatically updates at 12:00am on Wednesday morning with all of next week’s items!

  • When is delivery?

Deliveries are on Tuesdays between 8am-5pm. When you input your delivery (“shipping”) address during checkout, you can view “Delivery Details” which will show a 3 hour time window for your location. We will text you on Tuesday morning with a more precise ETA!

  • What if I can't be home for delivery?

No problem! Just leave out an appropriately sized cooler for your meals with ice packs, or text us instructions on how to enter and put them inside the fridge for you.

  • Do you offer any discounts?

Yes! We offer the following discounts:

Free delivery on your first order. Use code NEWCLIENT for East/North Hawai’i locations. Use code FIRSTORDER for West Hawai’i locations.

10% off orders of $300 or more. Use code OHANA

15% off orders of $500 or more. Use code FIFTEEN

$5 discount on deliveries containing 2 entrees or less. Use code SMALL

Please note that discounts are not valid on gift card purchases. However, discounts can absolutely be combined with gift card redemptions!

  • How many servings are in each entree?

Each entree contains one generously sized portion. We recommend ordering one entree per adult, however lighter eaters may be able to share the meals.

  • I missed the order deadline! Can I still order?

We are typically able to accept a limited number of late orders, but we cannot guarantee it. Please text/call/e-mail us ASAP if you’d like to ask.

  • What if I prefer to order "the old way"?

No problem. We can still accept orders via e-mail, text or call. These orders must be paid via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.

  • I ordered too much. Can I freeze the meals?

Generally, yes! With the exception of salads/raw vegetable preparations, all of our meals are freezer-friendly. Please note that freezing may change the texture of some meals/ingredients more than others. For example, freezing tofu causes it to take on a more spongy texture. If you have a specific freezing/reheating question, please don’t hesitate to ask!

  • Are the meals organic?

Mostly! We strive to use as many organic and local ingredients as possible, and we design our menus around seasonal availability to help maximize this. We use conventional ingredients as a back-up option when the organic counterpart is not available or not up to our quality standards.

  • What kind of containers do the meals come in?

Our meals are packed in sturdy BPA-free plastic containers. If you wish to provide alternative containers for us to pack your meals in, we’re happy to accommodate. Please e-mail, text or call us to discuss this!

  • Do you soak your beans?

YES! We believe that beans are a nutritional powerhouse but to maximize digestibility and really reap the benefits, it’s important to soak them before cooking. We soak all of our beans in reverse-osmosis water for at least 8 hours and then pressure cook them.

  • What kind of oils do you use?

We use organic extra-virgin olive oil, organic virgin coconut oil and avocado oil in our cooking/baking. Occasionally for a buttery flavor, we use small amounts of vegan butter substitute. We choose brands with minimal seed oils, such as Miyoko’s butter, made primarily of cashews and coconut oil.

  • What do you sweeten your baked goods with?

We sweeten our baked goods with maple syrup, coconut sugar or whole dates. We do not use any refined sugars in our cooking/baking.

  • What kind of cookware do you use?

We use only non-toxic cookware, including stainless steel, glass, cast iron, and GreenPans.
